For Remembrance Day our junior leadership team went to our local Cenotaph to lay some poppies our children created. Please see below the message we received from Andy Preston!

Dear Head Teacher,

I would like to express my thanks to your school for coming along and participating in the Laying of the First Poppy service on Thursday 11th November.

It was fantastic to be able to meet your pupils and chat to them about the importance of remembrance.  They were all so charming and friendly and took great care and attention when placing their poppy crosses in the turf.  It was also amazing to see all of the plastic poppies, wreaths, drawings and other items they had made which were placed around the Cenotaph and in the Museum.  I have attached a few photos for you to share with the school.

I do hope that you will support the event again next year especially as the Cenotaph has its centenary year in November 2022.

Kind regards.

Andy
