Look at what Zahida’s Class have been doing
The children have been sharing a selection of story books, and voted for their favourite as part of our TVED book awards. The children went on to produce a piece of art related to one of the stories. Our class made a piece of art related to a story Speak Up about a little girl who wants to stop her local library from closure. Our class decorated banners expressing the importance of books and why we love them. The children created a large collage with different fabrics to stick their photos on.
As a part of our geography curriculum the children have been learning about contrasting areas within the UK. We have been exploring how humans interact with the local physical environments such a Preston Park. To support our learning the class went on a trip to think about why we go to Parks, and the things we like about our local parks. The children really enjoyed it and went on to sequence the events of the day
This term the children celebrated Earth Day and made some lovely pictures using diffusing paper, paint and pipettes. They dripped blue and green watered-down paint onto diffusing paper and watched their beautiful world pictures develop.
