The children were all happy to return to school this week after what we hope was a restful half term with friends and family.

In Michelle’s class we have been busy with lots of different learning experiences linked to our current topic ‘under the sea’

We have explored seaweed (green pasta spaghetti) with chunky tweezers which helped us to improve our pincer grip.

The children enjoyed spending time in the cooking room, we put on our aprons and whipped up a tuna pizza which involved the children rolling out pizza dough, spreading tomato sauce, sprinkling cheese and tuna.

Our music session focus is discovering the sounds instruments can make, we thoroughly enjoyed the xylophones and using the beaters to make different sounds.

We have used sponges and paint to create an ocean scene and then we chose varying sea creatures to add on.
