Our pastoral team is dedicated to providing exceptional support to parents and carers, ensuring they feel valued and involved in their child’s educational journey. With a compassionate and approachable approach, the team offers personalised guidance, actively listening to concerns and offering practical solutions. They work collaboratively with families, providing regular communication and updates on student progress, and are always available to address any challenges that may arise. By creating a strong, trusting relationship with parents and carers, our pastoral team ensures that families feel supported, empowered, and equipped to help their children thrive academically and emotionally.

Early Bird Parent Programme

The Early Bird Parent Programme supports parents and carers of pre-school aged children (under 5 years) with a diagnosis of autism or who are on the pathway. The Early Bird Plus parent programme supports parents and carers of school aged children aged from 4 to 9 years.

Both programmes are held over approximately 8- 10 weeks. There is one session per week which lasts around one and a half hours.

The programme aims to support families to:

  • Understand autism and how children experience the world around them
  • Develop interactions and communication with their child
  • Understand their child’s behaviour  

Teen Life Parent Programme

The Teen Life Parent Programme supports parents and carers of children aged 10-16 with a diagnosis of autism.

The programme is held over approximately six weeks. There is one session per week which lasts around one and a half hours.

The programme aims to support families to:

  • Understand autism and how teens experience the world around them.
  • Develop interactions and communication with their teen.
