Happy new year to all our pupils and families.

Look what Sophie’s class have been doing this week.

Welcome back and a Happy New Year!  

We have had a great first week back in class. The children have all settled well back into our daily routines and enjoyed exploring new activities.  

This week we are reading ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’ by Julia Donaldson and exploring the story sack with characters for retelling. The children have started the week by designing ties which the Giant gives to the Giraffe for his cold neck. We used a range of mediums to mark make and create different effects. On Wednesday, we were busy making shirts as a sail for the boat for the goat.  

In maths, we are singing ‘Ten Green Bottles’ and exploring numbers which we are then hanging on a washing line with pegs to help to develop our fine motor control.
