Look at what Grace’s Class have been doing this week!
We have had an exciting first week in year 7! We have enjoyed getting to know our new friends by playing games and working as a team. We have been exploring our environment and personalising our classroom. We planted different herbs to grow on our windowsill and we made labels for our baskets using different materials.
Joe Black (from CER supply agency) completed the Great North Run finishing in 1 hour 42, and raising approximately £540 for Discovery Special Academy. Thank you so much! Our pupils will love the outdoor sensory garden were are going to create with the money.

Jenni’s Class- Morgan, for showing acceptance and tolerance towards all the new changes, settling in really well and being kind to all his friends in class
Lara’s Class- Josh, for settling in so well and following routines
Michelle’s Class- Benny, for settling into his new class and routines and being kind and helpful to everybody.
Charlotte’s Class- Hanim, for settling into her new class very well and following routines
Sophie’s Class- Mia, for settling into a new school and being brave making new friends
Andy’s Class- Thomas, for being adventurous with meal choices and for having a go at all the class activities
